Spring Migration at Whatcom Falls: Weekday Afternoon Bird Walk

Curious about the birds just starting to migrate back from South America? Join us for a relaxed afternoon bird walk around one of Bellingham’s most beautiful parks.. We will chat about what to look and listen for while birding, discuss some of the common species we are likely to spot and what makes them unique- then set out with our binoculars to see what amazing birds we can spot! Bring any binoculars you might have (we will have a few to share!)

Species commonly sighted here include:

  • Chickadees, Nuthatches and Brown Creepers

  • Belted Kingfisher

  • Osprey

  • Barred Owls

Accessibility Note: We will be meeting at the park entrance directly across from Lafeens donuts. Park in the lot you would use to access the tennis court or pump track, we will be meeting at a picnic table in the field.
