Private Outings
Our region is perfect for car birding, especially in winter!
Our public and private tours in Skagit only run from October-March while the best winter birds are here
Every tour is different, and while no particular species is guaranteed, we know the best spots to explore to increase our chances of spotting spectacular birds, such as snow geese, bald eagles, short eared owls, tundra and trumpeter swans, and diverse winter ducks.
Book a private tour slot by following the Eventbrite links below and placing a $50 deposit.
Once you have booked a session, I will reach out to confirm the exact length of tour you are hoping to schedule.
The remainder of payment is due two week before your tour is scheduled via Venmo or check. Cash is also accepted day-of.
Walking Tours
For walking tours, we will meet at spectacular birding hotspots and walk the trails together to look and listen for birds.
Private walks can accommodate up to 6 participants, children welcome!
Walking tours happen in areas where there are diverse ranges of wetland spaces, waterfowl, songbirds and raptors- so our meeting spots change according to the season and where the best birds are at the time. We focus more on Skagit county in fall and winter, and stick close to Bellingham in spring and summer
Private Walking Tour Pricing
1 Hour: $75
1 ½ Hours : $100
2 Hours: $125
Car Tours
Flocks of tens of thousands of snow geese, swans and ducks are incredibly mobile and dynamic, so car-based birding greatly increases our chances of seeing a wide range of species in a limited time.
One Vehicle: If your party is 4 individuals or less- we will meet down in Skagit then hop into my Subaru and drive to the best spots for winter birds.
Multiple Vehicles: If you would prefer not to share a vehicle and drive yourself for any reason, we can drive in separately and meet at a trail-head/nature area, where we can disembark and chat in person as we walk and observe the birds, and then load back into our vehicles and do the same at secondary and tertiary locations. The private multi vehicle option is different than our private “walking tours” because they involve traveling to multiple locations, rather than simply walking at one spot for the entire time.
Private Car Tour Pricing:
Car birding tours have a minimum time requirement of 1.5 hours. For the fullest experience, we recommend at least 2 hours.
1 ½ Hours: $100
2 Hours: $150
2 ½ Hours: $200
3 Hours: $250
